Dates are as published by College Board. Deadlines fall at a specific time on the day shown, in a US timezone, so confirm the exact cutoff on College Board's registration page before you rely on a last-minute one. Registration itself happens there, not here.
Which date should I take?
Work backwards from how much you want to move your score, not forwards from the next available date. Most students need six to ten weeks of consistent practice to see a meaningful gain, so the nearest date is often the wrong one — a date two months out you can actually prepare for beats one three weeks away that you sit cold. If you are planning to take it twice, pick a first date that leaves room for a second before your applications are due.
What is the second deadline for?
One date covers three things: it is the last day to register late for an additional fee, and also the last day to change your test date or centre, or cancel. It is not a second chance at a full registration period — it falls a few days after the standard deadline, and test centres near you may already be full by then.
When do SAT scores come out?
Scores are typically released around two to three weeks after the test, on the date shown above for each administration. Score release dates for administrations further out are sometimes not published yet, which is why some rows show no date.
